Head of IP, Lawyer, Partner, UK Firm to £1.4m Back to List

A law firm that has methodically been catapulted back into the city elite and is now steadily becoming an aspirational destination law firm for lateral lawyers. Profits are attractive and rising due to prudent management while still maintaining a highly acquisitive growth strategy.

IP has historically been a key practice area. Although the practice has been ‘maintained’, the existing lawyers have primarily provided a service or reactionary support rather than actively rebuilding it back to its former glory. The firm is looking to develop a soft IP practice, trademark, and brands, to cover the full remit of brand protection (not just the larger litigation piece). The firm understands IP, and its platform in the UK and Europe is set up to support and grow a European trademark and brands practice.

The management is looking to invest in the infrastructure and technology but need the leader to set the strategy.
