Future Head of Regulatory US Firm to $1.5 million plus Back to List

Although with a strong international presence and a well-established London office, this US firm's profitability has often been overlooked. The true PEP level in fact overshadows almost all of the UK firms, and rivals many of the elite US firms.  Surprisingly the firm does not have a particularly hours driven culture: partners work hard but the hours expectation is lower than many other firms.

The firm has been actively recruiting and with ten partners hired in London over the last year. There is a new London based management team and there is a positive wave of subtle transformation. The focus will be to continue to build around three core practice areas, one of which has always been investment management. There is currently a strategic need to recruit a financial service regulatory partner with a funds focused practice.

The firm has a strong fund formation (private equity, hedge and to a lesser extent real estate) and a busy transactional private equity practice. There is a leading regulatory team but a clear succession issue. The firm is looking to recruit the next generation and would like to hire a dynamic regulatory partner who will in a relatively short timeframe step into the leadership role.

There is less of an emphasis on any following and it is much more about previous experience, client relationships and reputation in the market. The chair of the London office will confirm that in the first meeting to avoid any doubt. Hence you will be immediately prominent and influential in a global team and the role will enhance your reputation in the London market.
