Edwards Gibson’s 74th Partner Moves report featured in Law360
Law 360 spotted a key trend from our publication of London Partner Moves for March-April 2023. The article by Marialuisa Taddia, titled, ‘London Partner Moves neared a 17-year peak, recruiters say’ looked at the statistics for this bi-monthly period, quoting our director Scott Gibson.
As the article shows, Edwards Gibson highlighted an 11% increase from 2022 during the March-April period for partner moves in commercial law firms in London. Noted also is the large spike in moves due to Milbank’s acquisition of half a dozen laterals from the London office of Dickson Minto, and the collapse of MJ Hudson and Ince.
Despite farewells from magic circle firm Linklaters, the article picks up on the recent partner moves to the firm, making this bi-monthly publication net positive for them! Director Scott Gibson was also noted on the continued partner departures from Travers Smith, and how future round-ups will likely be boosted by ‘flotsam and jetsam’ due to the collapse of the Ince Group and winding up of funds boutique MJ Hudson.
